Two-Table CNC Bridge Saw and Machining Center Description
The Vortax 5+1 Axis Combo CNC Bridge Saw and Machining Center is a next-generation, multi-function fabrication solution engineered for high-precision stone processing. Combining the full capabilities of a 5-axis bridge saw with an advanced machining center, it streamlines the entire workflow from slab cutting to complex finishing operations. The system features dual worktables—one rubber-coated table for all five-axis sawing tasks and another equipped with multiple vacuum pods dedicated to CNC machining. With an automatic tool-changer and an intelligent workflow design, the machine transitions seamlessly from cutting to milling without manual handling, boosting productivity and accuracy.
During operation, the machine first performs 5-axis cutting on the rubberized table, ensuring clean, accurate sizing of slabs. Once cutting is complete, two integrated vacuum cups mounted on the spindle automatically grip the slab and transfer it to the machining table. This eliminates the need for cranes, manual lifting, or repositioning. On the CNC side, the system executes contour milling, sink cutouts, edge profiling, beveling, routing, polishing, and other advanced machining processes—all within a single automated setup. Powered by a robust 22 kW spindle motor, the Vortax delivers exceptional torque and stability for machining even the hardest materials.
Designed for fabrication pros working with marble, granite, quartz, sintered stone, porcelain slabs, ceramic materials, and other dense architectural surfaces, the Vortax 5+1 is ideal for producing premium countertops, vanities, island tops, stair treads, flooring panels, and interior/exterior wall cladding. Customizable table dimensions accommodate a wide range of slab sizes, while its high-efficiency architecture reduces cycle time and increases throughput. Whether used in a high-volume fabrication shop or a specialized architectural studio, the Vortax offers the precision, reliability, and automation needed to meet today’s demanding surfacing standards.

Key Features of the Vortax 5+1 Axis CNC Bridge Saw and Machining Center Combo Machine
| Feature | Description & Benefit |
|---|---|
| Heavy‑Duty Galvanized Steel Frame | The machine is built on a fully welded, galvanized steel structure that resists corrosion, minimizes frame deflection, and ensures long‑term durability and consistent precision — even under continuous, heavy production loads. |
| High‑Precision Motion System | Oil‑immersed linear guideways and precision ball screws deliver ultra‑smooth motion, minimal backlash, and micron‑level positioning repeatability — ideal for fine-detail fabrication of granite, marble, engineered stone, and other dense materials. |
| Safety‑Focused Front Access Door | A manually sliding front door with auto‑open detection sensor enhances operator safety during setup and operation, while simplifying daily access for maintenance and loading/unloading. |
| Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) | A linear tool magazine holds up to 20 ISO BT40 tools (protected by a stainless‑steel pneumatic cover). This allows the system to automatically switch tools for different machining operations — significantly speeding up complex, multi-step jobs. |
| Advanced CAD/CAM Software (CutCam) | Built-in software supports DXF and G‑code imports, automated nesting, and optimized toolpath generation. Offers both a simple manual cutting mode for quick jobs and a full-featured workflow for complex countertop, vanity, or architectural stone pieces. |
| Integrated HD Camera & Visual Alignment | Onboard high-definition camera captures slab layout for real-time positioning, visual alignment, and pattern-matching — reducing setup time and minimizing material waste by precisely placing cuts and avoiding defects. |
| Fully Automated Workflow: Cutting → Shaping → Polishing | Smart sequencing allows the machine to automatically move from cutting to shaping and polishing in a single program without re-clamping. This reduces manual labor and potential error from multiple setups — boosting throughput and consistency. |
| True 5‑Axis Synchronized Cutting Head | The 5‑axis head supports full 0–90° tilt and 360° continuous rotation with synchronized A and C axes interpolation. This enables bevels, miters, curved cuts, profiling, and other complex geometries in a single setup — ideal for countertops, curved architectural elements, decorative stone work, and more. |
| Laser-Assisted Vacuum Cup Positioning | Precision laser guidance helps ensure vacuum cups are placed accurately under the slab — critical for safe, stable handling of heavy stone slabs, and reduces risk of mis‑clamping or slab movement during machining. |
| Hydraulic Tilting Rubber Worktable (0–85°) | The heavy-duty rubberized worktable tilts hydraulically for easy loading/unloading of large stone slabs. Movable vacuum pods on the table allow flexible positioning and secure hold-down for a variety of slab sizes. |
| Vacuum Hold‑Down & Auto‑Positioning Table | The vacuum pod system (160 mm height) firmly fixes workpieces during machining. The CNC auto-positioning table automatically clamps slabs based on programmed dimensions — no manual adjustment needed. |
| Automated Material Handling & Conveying System | After cutting, slabs requiring edge polishing are automatically transferred via vacuum suction — enabling a fully unmanned, start-to-finish workflow in many cases. This reduces manual handling, speeds throughput, and lowers labor costs. |
| Automatic Lubrication System | All linear axes and ball screws are served by an automatic lubrication system — ensuring reduced maintenance intervals, extended component life, and consistent smooth operation under heavy-duty usage. |
